Urea Filters

Increasingly strict limits on exhaust emissions make it essential to fit SCR (selective catalytic reduction) systems in more and more commercial vehicles. Addition of a urea-water solution, which converts harmful gases into harmless nitrogen and water, reduces such emissions by up to 80%. MANN-FILTER urea filters protect the sensitive injection nozzles and other parts of the system against wear and extend the service life of the entire dosing unit. Characterised by high filtration efficiency, tried-and-tested suitability for everyday use and long service life, they help to ensure that commercial vehicles meet Euro VI standards on emissions.

MANN-FILTER supplies the urea filter in kit form, including a compensating element. This reduces the free volume in the housing and absorbs compressive forces when the urea-water solution expands at sub-zero temperatures. In this way, the flexible compensating element prevents damage to the system and to the filter.
